Pelargonium graveolens - Rose Geranium
Pelargonium graveolens is a robust grower, something between a perennial and a shrub. The fragrant foliage has kept the Rose Geranium in gardens for a long time. Pelargonium graveolens grows well in full sun into moderately dense shade. Pelargonium graveolens can bloom at almost any time of year but blooms best in the Spring. The flowers are white to pale pink with dark markings. The foliage has been used to extract a fragranced oil. Pelargonium graveolens grows to 2-3 feet tall and wide. Pelargonium graveolens does not seem fazed by soil type so long as it is not soggy. Pelargonium graveolens is frost tender and will show damage with Winter temperatures in the high 20°'s F.
