Eremophila glabra Kalgoorlie ~ Fuchsia Emu Bush
Eremophila glabra Kalgoorlie forms a low spreading shrub, typically 2 feet tall by 6 feet wide or slightly larger. The gray foliage contrasting with the red tinged golden yellow flowers was what initially attracted me. The Fuchsia Emu Bush has proven to be quite drought tolerant and surprisingly cold tolerant. The long tubular flowers make this is a great addition to the Hummingbird Garden. Eremophila glabra Kalgoorlie blooms much of the Spring and Summer. Plants are were undamaged when Winter temperatures dipped into the low to mid teens. After a couple of seasons the older branches begin to fade. Some maintenance required for eremophila glabra Kalgoorlie, alas no free lunch.
