Eremophila glabra Fire and Ice ~ Fire and Ice Emu Bush
Eremophila glabra Fire and Ice is a showy shrub, typically 4-6 feet tall and wide. The gray foliage contrasts with the red flowers. The Fire and Ice Emu Bush has proven to be quite drought tolerant and cold tolerant to 25°F. The long tubular red flowers make Eremophila Fire and Ice is a great addition to the Hummingbird Garden. Eremophila glabra Fire and Ice does well in a drought tolerant full sun setting. The Fire and Ice Emu Bush is tolerant of a modestly short period of full sun or high shade. Eremophila glabra Fire and Ice blooms much of the year with flowers starting in Fall and lingering into Spring and early Summer. After a couple of seasons the older branches of Eremophila glabra plants begin to fade. Some maintenance required for eremophila glabra Fire and Ice, alas no free lunch but a pretty fine lunch regardless.
