Eremophila hygrophana ~ Blue Emu Bush
Eremophila hygrophana blooms nearly all year. This Emu Bush grows to 2-3 feet tall and somewhat wider. The long tubular blue flowers make this is a great addition to the Hummingbird Garden. The color purist might call these purple flowers. Eremophila hygrophana is not particular about soil, heat, irrigation or much else. The Blue Emu Bush is native to Western Australia. Plants are reportedly hardy to 20°F though if other garden selections of this genus are any indication Eremophylla hygrophana will be able to withstand colder temperatures, probably into the mid teens.
