Eremophila maculata aurea * Golden Emu Bush
Eremophila maculata aurea is a tough shrub that can take abuse and keep on blooming. The Golden Emu Bush is a good choice for an active garden or parkway. Eremophila maculata aurea is hardy with regard to cold and drought. The Golden Emu Bush blooms nonstop or nearly so. The yellow flowers are 2" long and carried well by the bush. I have not tried Eremophila maculata aurea in boggy sections of my yard but expect that could jeopardize our relationship. The Golden Emu Bush grows well in full sun or light shade and can get to 6 feet. The Golden Emu Bush tends to grow more upright than the species, Eremophila maculata. There are two pink forms Eremophila maculata Clementine and Eremophila maculata Valentine.
