Linum lewisii - Western Flax
Linum lewisii is a long blooming perennial, often blooming from March well into Summer. Western Flax prefers full sun and will tolerate some irrigation. Linum lewisii is not particular about soils. The Western Flax looks best if trimmed back after blooming and again during the early Winter. Linum lewisii is likely to reseed, great for the wild garden, but making garden planning with the Western Flax likely to yield something less than a well organized result. Linum lewisii grows 2-3 feet tall from a relatively narrow base.
