Leucadendron Ebony - Ebony Conebush

Leucadendron Ebony will be attractive in a garden even for foliage alone. The dark hued foliage will contrast nicely with plants that have  grey foliage. The long lasting cones of small yellow flowers are surrounded by darkening red bracts for much of the year, concentrating from mid-Winter through the Spring. Leucadendron Ebony grows to 6 feet tall and wide. The Conebush plants are widely tolerant of soil types but require decent drainage and are quite drought tolerant. Leucadendron Silvan Red grows well in full sun and will tolerate Winter temperatures that dip into the mid 20°s F.
