Erythronium grandiflorum grows in sun to light shade and blooms between Spring and early Summer. Two large green leaves followed by a stalk up to a foot or so tall with 1-3 yellow flowers. Erythronium grandiflorum will grow from streamside to drying meadows. Erythronium is an important food source for grizzley bears in the rockies. Deer will eat the foliage.
