Campanula poscharskyana * Serbian Bellflower
Campanula poscharskyana at times will look like a blue carpet. The Serbian Bellfower grows well in shaded situations in a variety of soils. Campanula poscharskyana is hardy to -20° F. I use the Serbian Bellfower for a ground cover. I plant the plants on a one foot grid. The plants are covered in 1" blue flowers spring, summer and fall, and usually still have some blooms showing the rest of the year with our mild conditions. Campanula poscharskyana will tolerate some drought but does best with regular water.
