Plant this Verbena in full sun to light shade. Verbena lilacina De La Mina is not particular about soils but needs reasonable drainage and is quite drought tolerant once established. Verbena lilacina De La Mina is Winter hardy into the low 20°s F but starts looking pretty ragged if temperatures dip below the mid 20°s F. This is a Santa Barbara Botanic Garden introduction. The Monarch Butterflies, Giant Swallowtails, Gray Hairstreaks, Mournful Duskywing, Umber Skipper Butterfly, White Checkered Skipper, Northern White Skipper, and Variable Checkerspots will come by for nectar if they are around.
