Orange Sulphur Butterfly - Colias eurytheme
The Orange Sulphur is common in open areas, often visiting puddles and moist parts of the garden. The Alfalfa Butterfly is often found on plants in the pea family including clover and lupines The Orange Sulphur flies from March through December and through the Winter as well in warmer climes. The annual Lupines are best planted in the Fall from seed, the shrubby Lupines are often harder to start and are often grown from cuttings.
