Begonia Marmaduke ~ Marmaduke Begonia
Begonia Marmaduke will grow two to three feet tall and wide, gradually spreading. The Marmaduke Begonia prefers a protected location with light shade and rich soil and at least afternoon sun protection. Begonia Paul Marmaduke will be damaged if temperatures dip into the 20's though will survive to the mid-20's. The 6" diameter leaves of the Marmaduke Begonia are susceptible to wind damage. The large red and green multi-toned leaves can make a garden look very tropical. Begonia Marmaduke is reasonably drought tolerant for such a tropical looking plant. Begonia Marmaduke looks great in this garden with weekly irrigation and with a well mulched bed. Water at the base of Begonia Paul Marmaduke as water on the leaves can cause mildew or sunburn. Early Spring through Fall the pink blushed white flowers are held upright at the tips of the branches.
