May Pride Peach

The May Pride Peach is a very low chill fruit requiring 150-200 hours below 45°F. The pink flowers start in mid-January. Fruit ripens in late May or early June. The May Pride Peach has large yellow semi-freestone fruit. They have a tart sweet flavor. May Pride Peaches are moderately susceptable to leaf curl. I try to prune the trees so they only have enough new wood that all of the fruit can be supported by the trees. But I often have to thin fruit on the May Pride Peach so the branches won't break down anyways.
