Erythrina falcata - Brazilian Coral Tree

The Brazilian Coral Tree is one of the larger and more upright Coral Trees. It may take awhile to bloom, it did for us, several years. I care for an Erythrina falcata tree that was planted from a bursting 36" box that had been in the ground for more than 6 years and still has not had a flower. In the coldest location that I have planted this species, Erythrina falcata has been evergreen down to the mid 20°s F. It is a gorgeous tree except for that annoying potential for being so darn slow to start blooming.
