Plectranthus Mona Lavender - Lavender Spur Flower
Plectranthus Mona Lavender is far sturdier than it looks or its tropical African heritage would indicate. The Lavender Spur Flower is low and compact, 18-24" tall and wide. Plectranthus Mona Lavender is interesting as a foliage plant with a purple hue to the leaves that is even more pronounced on the undersides of the leaves. But more than most of the other Spur Flowers, Plectranthus Mona Lavender is striking for its blooms. The lavender purple flowers bloom in waves repeating through much of the year, though less profuse in the Summer. Plectranthus Mona Lavender reblooms more rapidly if the old blossoms are removed. The Lavender Spur Flower grows best in shade in rich well composted soil. The plants prefer regular water but will get by on far less and still be presentable if the soil is well prepared. Plectranthus Mona Lavender is Winter hardy with short duration dips into the mid 20°s F.
