Euryops virgineus - Honey Euryops
Euryops virgineus is a shrub that grows to 5 or 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide. The Honey Euryops is almost always has at least few small yellow daisy flowers but at times can be spectacular. Euryops virgineus grows well in full sun but will still bloom in section of the garden that only gets a few hours of direct sunlight and strong indirect light. Euryops virgineus is drought tolerant if it needs to be, but tends to be a little ragged and open unless it is regularly tip pruned. The Honey Euryops will tolerate heavy soils and moderately excessive watering. Euryops virgineus is Winter hardy into the low to mid teens. Euryops virgineus is a fine addition to the Butterfly Garden attracting the Painted Lady Butterfly, Mormon Metalmark, Great Purple Hairstreak, Northern White Skipper, and the White Checkered Skipper.
