Clerodendrum philippinum * Cashmere Bouquet
When I first saw Clerodendrum philippinum it reminded me of hydrangeas. The blooms last much longer. The huge leaves and robust growth make this hardy tropical plant a natural for that tropical look. The white flowers are sweetly scented. The foliage is not. I keep it back from walkways. Clerodendrum philippinum tends to run a bit so I water with drip and don't water beyond where I want it to spread. Clerodendrum philippinum is killed to the ground at 16° F but back for more by early spring.
