Bougainvillea Rosenka
Bougainvillea Rosenka is a low growing shrub compared to other Bougainvillea's and it can easily be trained as a moderately sized vine. Bougainvillea Rosenka nominally grows to 4 feet tall and 6 feet wide. But that is only if you are firm about it. Bougainvillea Rosenka can easily exceed these expectations if given even the least encouragement. Bougainvillea Rosenka is drought tolerant once established and if kept on a lean diet of water and sad soil, may be no more than 4 feet tall. Bougainvillea Rosenka has pale green leaves and orange fading to pink bracts. The flowers are creamy white and great butterfly attractors. To encourage more blooms allow the branches to grow and don't fertilize, the flowers are produced at the tips of the growing branches. Too often I see this plant hedged with almost no blossoms. The Cloudless Sulphur Butterfly and Giant Swallowtail love Bougainvillea flowers and can add pizazz to your Butterfly Garden.
