William Shakespeare Rose * David Austin Rose * Introduced 2000
The William Shakespeare Rose has deeply fragrant and dark purple-red flowers. The flowers of the William Shakespeare rose are fully double. The open shape of this 6 foot rose workes well in a mixed garden. The William Shakespeare is not particularly susceptable to fungal problems, best to water at the ground level particularly during the overcast periods in June. The William Shakespeare Rose is a repeat bloomer and almost always has flowers from Spring through winter pruning.
The parents of the William Shakespeare Rose include Mary Rose and The Squire.
