Gertrude Jekyll Rose * David Austin Rose * Introduced in 1986

The Gertrude Jekyll Rose has been a reliable strong grower. Ours have varied between about 5-8 feet. We have had a wealth of blooms and no problems from this garden hardy rose. I love to use the old fashioned style roses in the mixed border. I think they fit better in this setting than in the rose bed. By mixing the plants I get fewer disease and pest problems.

The parents of the Gertrude Jekyll Rose include 'Compte de Chambord' and 'Wife of Bath'.
