Zephyranthes citrina - Yellow Rain Lily, Citron Zephyr Lily
Zephyranthes citrina is one of those magic plants in the garden. Yellow Rain Lily plants bloom when they recieve water after a dry spell. There can be a mass display of yellow flowers. Zephyranthes citrina also goes by the common name Citron Zephyr Lily. Zephyranthes citrina requires decent drainage but is not particular about soils. Zephyranthes citrina grows well in a sunny part of the garden. Some water is required in our area but not much. The Yellow Rain Lily bulbs bloom in the Summer and Fall and can repeat bloom, but sometimes in following the rain they bloom in the Spring too. Zephyranthes citrina is hardy to 10°F.
