Triteleia ixioides anilina, Pretty Face, can be found in the Sierras from Central California north into Oregon. Prettyface grows on the margins of coniferous forests from 2000 feet to 9000 feet Triteleia ixioides anilina has yellow flowers with blue pollen and a fused tube. I have photographed Triteleia ixioides ssp anilina from the Southern Sierras under the Ghost Pines up to the alpine meadows. The Sara Orangetip will stop in for a sip of nectar.
