Thunbergia battiscombei * Blue Glory Vine, Blue Clock Vine, Blue Boy
Thunbergia battiscombei provides a lush burst of color late in the season. The plants will die to the ground in Winter unless kept in a greenhouse or you happen to live in near hothouse conditions. However Thunbergia battiscombei will return reliably from the roots even with Winter temperatures into the low 20°s F. And as I mention often, I do like a pleasant surprise. I mark the seasons by the comings and goings of plants like this one. Thunbergia battiscombei blooms with these intensely blue flowers for much of the Summer. If Thunbergia battiscombei is watered it will continue to produce through to frost. If not Thunbergia battiscombei will hibernate until the next spring.
