Moluccella laevis - Bells of Ireland
Moluccella laevis is an annual with striking stalks of green flowers. The flowers of Moluccella laevis are acutally small and white and the calyx is the showy green part. Bells of Ireland is fragrant and often used by florists. Moluccella laevis blooms from late Spring through to Fall. Moluccella laevis grows 2-3 feet tall and about half that width. Moluccella laevis is native to the middle east. Plant Moluccella laevis in full sun and provide moderate irrigation. Moluccella laevis is in the sage family.
