Craspedia globosa * Billy Buttons
Craspedia globosa has these 1" globes of flowers that grow on long very cutable stems. The gray leaves are linear and grass-like. This makes for an interesting contrast in the garden. The yellow flowers last for a tremendous time on the plant and dry fantastically. Craspedia globosa will bloom spring through summer. I have grown Billy Buttons in east exposures and in full sun. It has performed well in both. They work well as a dried flower or as a cut flower. Craspedia globosa is a native to Australia. Individual plants will die off but I seem to get enough seedlings to keep them going year after year.
