The Scarlett Sage blooms repeatedly and can be prone to self sowing if not deadheaded. Saliva coccinea is a good addition to the butterfly garden and to the hummingbird garden. Salvia coccinea is winter hardy into the mid-20°'s and is often treated as an annual in colder climates.
