Zephirine Drouhin - Climbing Bourbon Rose - Introduced 1868

The Zephirine Drouhin rose is a thornless rose that tolerates shade more than most roses and has a very long and prolific blooming period. Mine typically have canes up to 10 feet long. They have a nice fragrance. They get just a little rust or mildew when it is foggy for a long period. The Zephirine Drouhin rose has been one of our best climbing roses. If people keep growing a rose for more than a century there are surely a fair number of great aspects to that rose.
