Kathleen Rose * Hybrid Musk Rose * 1922
I have seen Kathleen Rose canes completely fill and arch 10 feet over a rose trellis and weigh it down heavily. The Kathleen Rose blossoms are about 1.5 inches across and pale pink. They look like very large apple blossoms. The buds of Kathleen are a pastel pink. Kathleen will bloom repeatedly until I prune it in December. Though the period between blooms is longer with this Hybrid Musk Rose than many others Kathleen does repeat reliably. This is one enthusiastic rose.
The Kathleen Rose was hybridized by Joseph Pemberton in 1922 in a cross between 'Daphne' and 'Perle des Jeannes'.
