Tibetan Window with Shutters in a Garden
The Tibetan Window gives a bit of whimsey to this eclectic garden. I sited the window so the shadows of the grate and the stained glass add interest to the garden to the north and the view through the window with the Bougainvillea Barbara Karst is pretty fun too. To set this window in place I rested the window on cinder blocks and braced the window from the front and back while I set the 4x4 posts in concrete. The Tibetan Window is made of teak and will weather nicely and last a long time in our dry climate. In time the redwood posts will weather to gray and match the wood color of the old window and shutters.
