Stokesia laevis Peachie's Pick - Stokes Aster

Stokesia laevis Peachie's Pick is noted for having a later but longer blooming period than other Stokes Aster selections. In our gardens the Stokes Aster blooms from late Spring through Fall. Stokesia Peachie's Pick grows to 18 inches tall and wide and tends to stay more upright than other varieties. Stokes Aster plants do well in full sun to light shade. Stokesia Peachie's Pick needs regular water in a hot garden, dry conditions will cause the plants to gradually wither away to nothing. Stokesia Peachie's Pick is Winter hardy into zone 5. The Painted Lady, Gray Hairstreak, Great Purple Hairstreak, White Checkered Skipper, Northern White Skipper, and Variable Checkerspot will likely drop by for a sip of nectar if they are around.
