Psorothamnus schottii, Schott's Indigo Bush
Psorothamnus schottii is native to the low desert areas of California into Arizona and Mexico. Schott's Indigo Bush blooms in the Spring following rain. These shrubs grow to 6 feet or more tall and wide. The leaves are a grey green and about an inch long. A cluster of pea shaped dark purple flowers are produced at the ends of the branches. Psorothamnus schottii is noted for its fragrant flowers.
