Lavatera Barnsley blooms much of the year. The large flowers start out near white with dark magenta centers. The outer portions of the petals age to a pale pink. Lavatera Barnsley grows quickly to 8-10 feet and is usually taller than wide. This is a great plant for creating a new garden quickly filled with colorful plants. The plants are drought tolerant once established. Lavatera Barnsley is Winter hardy into the low 20°s F. Lavatera Barnsley can be used as larval food for the Northern White Skipper and is a great addition to the Butterfly Garden.
