Dombeya cacuminum - Strawberry Snowball Tree

Dombeya cacuminum is spectacular when in flower and can be the focal point for a garden. The Strawberry Snowball Tree grows to 50 feet tall and 20 feet wide. Dombeya cacuminum blooms Winter into Spring with Strawberry pink flowers. Dombeya cacuminum is native to Madigascar. Dombeya cacuminum does well in full sun settings. Dombeya cacuminum looks best with a regular deep soaking particularly in sunnier and more inland gardens. Hummingbirds are always interested in plants that flower during the cooler months and are regulars at other Hibiscus family relatives. Dombeya cacuminum is winter hardy to 28° F particularly when in an understory planting.
