Davallia fejeensis ~ Rabbit's Foot Fern

Davallia fejeensis is grown as much for the fuzzy rhizomes as for the lacy green fronds. The Rabbit's Foot Fern rhizomes will reach beyond the container and collect rain or water as it is provided. A rotting hunk of wood is a great natural container as it works like a sponge. Davallia fejeensis is native to Fiji where it grows as an epiphyte on trees and longs. Davallia fejeensis will do well in a shady section of the garden getting misted a couple of times if the rain is not adequate. Davallia fejeensis will survive a light frost but will require protection or an indoor hideout if conditions could get worse.
