Crotalaria agatiflora ~ Canary Bird Bush

Crotalaria agatiflora is a large shrub, or can even be trimmed as a small tree. For me the real attraction of the Canary Bird Bush is the large lime green flowers. It seems that Crotalaria agatiflora is almost always in bloom, but the best blooming time is in the Spring and Fall. Inland areas will have a reduced growth during the summer. The Canary Bird Bushes can become quite leggy and collapse upon themselves. Crotalaria agatiflora will bloom in full sun to open shade but they are more likely to flop when growing in the shade. I hard prune Crotalaria agatiflora plants a couple of times per year to keep them in shape.
