Banksia praemorsa - Cut Leaf Banksia

Banksia praemorsa is a moderate to large dense shrub growing to 10 feet or more, usually taller than wide. The yellow or burgundy red flowers grow on older wood or at branch tips. Plants are not so particular about soil but need drainage by slope or by planting in well drained soil. Banksia praemorsa prefers full sun to light shade and is drought tolerant once established. Our Banksia praemorsa plants have survived 28°F in good form. The hummingbirds like the yellow flowers.
